Deuteronomy 30: 19-20
19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob,to give them.
From here we see the age old question? What is the meaning of Life?
God says that the meaning of life is to love God, obey His voice, and that we would cleave unto Him. Thats it in a nutshell. We are to choose life because God wants us to love Him,to listen and obey Him, and to cleave unto Him. To me, this seems like God wants intimacy with us. This is what God wants, so we are choosing life so we can love God, obey His voice, and cleave unto Him for He is our life.We must embrace God in passionate love as He desires and He will continue to love us. No One can love you as much as God can. I know this might sound hard to believe, but its true. God created us for Himself. Let God love you and love God most in your life. God must be our first and greatest love here on earth. All other loves must be secondary to God loving you and you loving God.
Later I will share with you some ways God loves you and wants to love you and ways we can love and prove our love for God. This is important for all people; for now let me conclude by saying "choose life that you may live so that you will love God, obey His voice, and cleave unto Him in passionate love.
